Stay in San Antonio. Its got the cheapest rooms due to oversupply. The resort is well serviced by an excellent bus service that connects all the Island, including the late night Discobus which stops at all the clubs, costs €3 one way and saves on big taxi fares. There is also a direct Airport bus service, the NO9 bus, which operates between June-September, so no expensive transfers or Taxi Fares. A return fare is €6
San Antonio is also home to the West End, which has the best offers on cheap alcohol and food, with 2 for1 deals, Happy Hours and free shots. Pints of beer for €2 and vodka&red bull.... 2 for €5. Many bars are looking for buisness, so its a competitive market offering good deals. The West End has 4 or 5 small clubs which are free entry up until 6am so no need for expensive tickets. Prices in these clubs are €3-5 for a bottle of beer €6 for a vodka and red bull. Hush, Play,Plastic and Soul City being the best of them.
Book an All Inclusive Hotel. Big savings can be made here on food and drinks. In the middle of August (peak season) an all inclusive room will cost €50 per night per person. (€20 per person mid-low season). That includes 3 meals, snacks and unlimited drinks. Expect basic food, poor service and long Q's for the bar. The All Inclusive bar is a great way to warm up for the day before hitting the famous Ibiza nightlife. Water alone would cost €15 per day if purchasing at normal prices and food of similar quality would cost €30. Alcohol at least €50. All Inclusive ensures that food and drinks are always available if cash runs out.......so offers peace of mind as well.
There are 2 big clubs in San Antonio Es Paradis and Eden. They offer free entry before 1am on nights when there are no big name DJ's playing. Ask for concession tickets at bars in the West End or ask PR workers at the clubs for discounted tickets.
Head down to Cafe Mambo or Cafe Del Mar at Sunset. There are free parties there with Big Name DJ's, playing warm up sets after the sunset, for promotion of their big club events. On the way visit a local supermarket, buy normal price bottles of Alcohol and bring them down to the sunset parties. Sit back and enjoy the atmosphere and free party.
Take advantage of the free shots that PR workers hand out but be careful...... they pack a punch!
