Aer Lingus Terminate Dublin Ibiza Route for 2016.

Irish National airline carrier, Aer Lingus, has stopped scheduling flights on its popular Dublin to Ibiza route which it operated for the last 7 years. Aer Lingus was the first airline to offer scheduled commercial flights to Ibiza direct from Dublin, as previously only charter flights were available to travelers wanting to visit Ibiza from airports in the Republic. Aer Lingus operated three weekly flights into Ibiza on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Ryanair is now the only airline flying the Dublin to Ibiza route offering direct commercial flights. The budget airline will increase its Ibiza presence next month as it opens a new base on the island operating 25 routes and supporting 1400 jobs. The company expects to grow its market share by 25% and cater to 1.8 million customers. In a statement to the Blog Aer Lingus confirmed that the Dublin Ibiza route had been terminated due to commercial reasons.
