Viva Warriors head honcho, Steve Lawler, is featured in a new documentary by Director, Piers Sanderson, which charts the rollercoster personal life of the Birmingham born DJ. The documentary, The Art Of The DJ, which has been in the making for the past few years, features contributions from Carl Cox and other well known Ibiza names from the past, including Danny Whittle and Ben Turner. Lawler is no doubt interesting subject matter, a British version of Danny Tenaglia with a solid CV and talent to back up his credentials as a legend on the scene. He was referred to as "The King" of the Space Terrace back in its glory days alongside Carl Cox, Alex P and Brandon Block in the late 90's early noughties. The documentary release was delayed due to licencing problems with its soundtrack being associated with Facebook, the platform its producers felt it was necessary to launch on. For what is supposed to be a cutting edge documentary, an association to Facebook behind a pay per view wall of £3.50, seems a rather unusual way to promote a dance music documentary.
