Worlds #1 DJ, Hardwell, has confirmed that he will be taking up a summer residency in Ibiza this summer. Speaking to the blog in Dublin this weekend, Hardwell stated, "Yes, I will have a brand new residency in Ibiza this season". When asked at what venue he would be playing, Hardwell stated that he was "not in a position to confirm the venue just yet". Rumours in Ibiza suggest that, Ushuaia, is the hot favorite to sign Hardwell for Ibiza 2014, replacing Luciano and friends on Tuesdays. The news that Hardwell is committing to Ibiza this summer, is a further sign that major, trend setting, international artists, continue to regard Ibiza as a pivotal and influential location, within the music industry. "No other place compares to Ibiza, it is a unique haven for dance music...it is one of the highlights of my annual DJ diary" commented the Dutch star. Now 26 years of age, Hardwell made his Ibiza debut in 2010, when Tiesto invited him to play at his famous Privilege trance party. After guest appearances at Ushuaia and Pacha in previous seasons, this will be Hardwells first Ibiza residency. An official announcement on the venue and dates for Hardwell's Ibiza 2014 summer residency, is expected in the near future.
